Let’s Twirl Blanket

twirl6

I purchased this “Let’s Twirl” pattern from The Felted Button on Etsy, you can click on the picture above to go to her shop. I had pinned it a long time ago with the intent of buying one but when my best friend found out she was having a little girl, I decided that this was the perfect thing to make for her.

She did the baby’s room in teal ombre with dandelion decals on the wall and a beautiful dandelion chandelier. In keeping with her color scheme I made the blanket blue to white ombre.

This blanket is seriously so soft and squishy! It’s going to be perfect for the baby to lay on. Plus, its nice and thick because of the pattern so it’s really warm. I started making it at the beginning of May and had it completely assembled by the beginning of June. The hard part was weaving in all the ends so I procrastinated and finally finished it last night and little baby Roya was born this morning! After I found the right needle to use and got into my groove things went very quickly and the next one I make will go even quicker.

I placed a listing on my etsy shop to purchase. Be sure to click on the picture above and go over and check it out and thank you for reading!

Happy Father’s Day!

I have been very blessed in my life to be the daughter of an amazing man! My dad had very humble beginnings. He was the son of a boiler maker and a waitress and his family traveled the country wherever his dad’s job took him. He was born in Montana, lived in Washington, Arizona, Ohio, and New Mexico just to name a few. He said that he didn’t have a curfew growing up and the stories he has told my siblings and I of things he did in his childhood are insane! He jumped off of a roof with a blanket or pillowcase or something as a parachute and got hurt once and he was constantly getting in fights to establish his place in his new schools and also to defend his little sister and brother. Change is hard!

A lot has been going on in our crazy lives lately. A lot of change. I am not a huge fan of change. I mean little changes here and there like re arranging my living room, painting the walls, a new haircut, a different car, things like that I feel like I constantly have to […]

Chevron Afghan Tutorial Link Up

I’m having an affair…. with Target!

Yep! The cat is out of the bag! I’m cheating on my husband with Target! Ok Ok I wouldn’t say cheating but Target is my vice. I love that place. I could spend hours in that store just browsing (although I don’t think I’ve ever left without buying something which my husband hates). Anyway, I went […]

Bored with workout…… T25 Here I Come!

I’ve been really discouraged lately because I haven’t seen a significant difference in my weight or how my clothes fit. As I mentioned in my post here I’m a member of the Facebook group no excuse moms. One of the moms in this group posted her before picture at 160 lbs in January and she […]
